Cabinet Process & Products

We start with thoroughly cleaning the cabinets with Simple Green De greaser. After the cabinets are clean & dry we start the masking process which entails covering all the cabinet doorways with tape & plastic. Next we mask off the counter tops and the entire floor, making sure over spray does not get on anything! After everything is masked off properly we start the sanding process with 220 grit. Depending on the shape of your cabinets we may need to do some patch work with Bondo. After everything is smooth we vacuum and wipe down with a microfiber rag making sure all the dust is fully gone. Once everything is dust free we spray a stain & tannin blocking primer mixed with a catalyst . After dry time we will once again sand with 220 grit, vacuum, & wipe down making sure everything is very smooth. If there are any cracks or nail holes we will fill with Crawford’s Painters Putty & Powerhouse caulk. Last step is Spraying the Finish 2x. Inbetween coats I personally like to sand everything with a 400-800 grit sponge.

Paint: Emerald Urethane, Gallery Series, Scuff X, Advance, Aqua Nova water based 1K/2K topcoat, Milesi water based 2k.

Primer: Zinsser BIN Original Shellac, Envirolak Envirothane 170 & 170 TB mixed with Envirolak EnviroCat Catalyst Hardener
